There are actually lots of silent ...That's awesome. There are actually lots of silent and peaceful pockets of Venice, if you wander far away enough from the tourist centers of Rialto and San Marco. I love San Pietro di Castello, for example. But there we noticed that all restaurants were closed, maybe because of public transport strike, maybe because of festival of local parish. So, around sunset, we took a little walk and tried to find a nice view from West side of Murano. I guess we were the only tourists there.
