I was in the mood for a little good graffiti today. This did the trick. Love this artist's style.

In scouting pictures for the day job, I happened across this cool piece of mixed-media collage art that is or was featured in the Hotel Gansevoort, NYC. I love it! I wish I knew who the artist is so that I could look him or her up to view more of their wonderful work.

The East Coast had its heatwave, and now it's our turn on the West Coast. Everyone in the San Francisco Bay Area has been complaining all summer how exceptionally cold it's been - and we're used to cold summers, but the layers and wool sweaters were getting pretty old - but now that the heat is on, I dare say we miss the fog and otherwise frigid conditions.

Such a cool photo-project idea, and perfect for crowd-sourcing, too. Wish I'd thought of it! And wish I could get to New York to see the outdoor Public Art installation before it leaves - I think it's there through some portion of January 2011. Though don't quote me on that.

Learn more about the Walking Men 99 art project here.

People say to skip Times Square, but I like it. For all the lights, ads, signage, and general mayhem. Only in New York!

What a dreamy vision of New York. I love it! Fog can be such an asset to creating a memorable and timeless image.

My visit was too short, but definitely sweet. And I don't know what it is, but I really dug the Radio City Music Hall sign. Day or night, it doesn't disappoint; me, anyway.

I've heard of singing in the rain and dancing up a storm, but never dancing in a storm. Looks like fun! Certainly picturesque.

I reeeeally hope it doesn't rain over my quick upcoming trip to NYC. But if the sky does happen to open up and let loose, a gorgeous keepsake capture like this would make it well worth the wet.

I hella heart Flickr.

In helping me prep for an upcoming trip to the Big Apple, a good friend made the following photo request - "There's this neon sign somewhere in Hell's Kitchen on a cross that says 'sin will find you out' - I just can't remember where!" It only took two baby seconds on Flickr to find it out. Photos, address and cross streets, everything!

I am now ready to venture to New York in search of sin and a sign, in Hell's Kitchen, no less.

Remember the Smurfs? I loved that cartoon, as a kid. As for this picture, I love all the blue; the people's blue outfits, the Smurf (of course), and the clear blue sky.
