And that Bastille is stormed again, in protest. Eons after the original storming on July 14, 1789 - sure. But a pretty fitting place to stage a strike or protest then, nonetheless. Yes?

I love the way this cloudy day is made more dramatic and stormy by the smoke from the protest activities. Interesting capture. Exciting time to be in Paris with a camera!

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Francois L - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  3. Oh the French and their strikes, lol. You almost have to book for an extra day in Paris just in case the trains go on strike.

  4. You're welcome, Francois. It's a great shot and my pleasure to share here.

True, Fidel. True! It couldn't hurt anyway :D
