Café life is one of Paris' many pleasures, and when set in the lovely Place des Vosges - one of my favorite spots in the City of Light - a real sense of unbridled joy can be achieved. Don't you find?

I love this still life taken at Café Nectarine (never been, myself) on the Place des Vosges. Just lovely. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and nostalgic, like it was me right sitting there, enjoying the scene.

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Emily Reiter - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. Thanks, Marisa! This is my lovely photo and I am so glad I captured the moment on my most recent trip to Paris in 2011. Yes, Café Nectarine in Place des Vosges -- it was a hike to get here; my cousin and I read about it in one of our guidebooks and were desperate to try it out, so we dragged our family all over Paris looking for it! It's quite well-hidden in Place des Vosges but it was worth the trek -- a delicious and delightful first meal in our trip to the City of Lights.
