Well, I guess if Barack can [bring jobs to the United States] then Sarkozy can [bring jobs to Europe], too. We can only hope!

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Viinz - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. Hi !

First thing, it seems that I'm a "he" ;)

And then, I shot that picture in the Marais district in Paris. I had seen a few of these "sark-obama" faces while walking back home and found them funny. The comparison between Sarkozy and Obama is a bit risked because the american seems to me a little more visionnary and less demagogist. Anyway, there're both young and have the same will : try to change the world ^^

So I was wondering if it was kind of a joke from the french socialist guys, or a communication campaign from our "dear" president. Or something else ! Anyway, everybody was staring at this daubed face, the goal to draw attention was reached and so I shot the picture ...

And the answer actually came yesterday and it was in fact Greenpeace who drove that campaign to increase pressure over the French President and his responsibility to work on environmental problems >>> "yes, you must" ... More here : http://tinyurl.com/5qax86

Well, thanks for your interest for my picture and for the photo credit ... !

    Chears !

  2. Hi Vinz. Thank you for leaving that enlightening comment. And for the link to the Greenpeace piece on the Sark-Obama posters. Very interesting! I was curious to know who was behind that campaign. Let's hope it works, eh?

    Great shot, btw :)
