In honor of the worst flood in Venice in over 20 years, which just happened on the first of December. So crazy! As is this (crazy cool, that is). These two photos artfully illustrate the insanity of the uncharacteristically high acqua alta.

Viva La Vivaca

Usually this blog is about your photos, but from time to time it's about my own. Not a Paris-a-day photo - or video - blog proper, but pretty much the situation here. I usually can't get through a week without going to Paris at least once. If not upwards of 20 times, or more. Often with scenic stints in Italy - my heart pines for Venice - and elsewhere in Europe, Stateside, or various other spots around the globe. You, too? Cheers to that and the luxurious affordability of picture-perfect virtual getaways. Which is to say, vicarious vacationing (i.e., vivaca). So anywho, a very varm velcome to you.
