Paris is a city of lights, and fountains. And museums. These two photos blend all three elements beautifully, in my humble opinion. This is the fountain at the Centre Pompidou, a leading Paris museum of contemporary European art and culture. The light in these images is surreal and soft. And cast over the art and the water, all the aspects fall into a palpable and pleasing harmony. Kind of like the city itself.

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Martim Passos - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. Wow, i'm glad! I never thought that my photos would show up in a blog that way! And about this voyage, well, it was my first to Europe, so is obvious that I liked it veeeeery much... That day at Centre Pompidou was great, like all the others in Paris, my first destination. Later, I passed in Tübingen, Germany, and went to Italy, where I've crossed from lest to west, finishing in Milan. A curious thing is that the Paris photos were taken with a analogic Contax, because I only bought my DSLR Canon (350D) in Germany.
So, thanks again and I hope you guys like my photos!

  4. Nothing wrong with the Contax at all, that flair on the lens gave the photo a very special tonality! But it's obturator just broke, and there's no repair this time, I'm afraid.

    R.I.P Contax :(
