If there's one thing I dislike, it's being in the midst of a million people. Crowds scare the crap out of me. I think I'm somewhat claustrophobic and afraid of being trampled or trapped, or both. This is an image of Paris on Bastille Day. Something I never need to experience in the flesh. This photo, for me, says it all. And I say, no thank you! I went to Vegas once for New Year's and that pretty well cured me of the desire to do anything similar, ever again. I've also experienced a Queen's Day in Amsterdam. And - surprise, surprise - once was enough. Great image though, this. Truly gives you a feel for being there. I'm sure!

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Arwens Abendstern - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. LOL! I'm with you on the claustrophobia situation! I was in Florence on Easter Sunday! Holy Moses, so not cool!
