I keep going back to Paris, every chance I get, because I haven't seen it all. Not nearly. For a walkable city of manageable size, Paris feels huge. I remember my last day there in the spring of 2005 and "discovering" the Viaduc des Arts and its long, rooftop gardens. I only had an hour or so left before I had to return to my hotel, pack, and head to the airport and I was crushed. But the other part of me was happy because here was yet another piece of Paris that I could explore and develop a relationship with upon my next return. This photo inspires the same feelings of excitement and curiosity. I've never been to the Défense part of Paris. But I'll get there, and with any luck, make a pretty picture. Like this one.

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - teegran - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. Wow. Since this post in the fall of 2008, I've walked the Viaduc des Arts in its entirety. How time flies. And how much fun to track it in pictures and comments on a blog.
