Great perspective for a unique trip pic. Love it!

Your comments on this image are welcome, and encouraged! And a question for the photographer - Alight and Record - if s/he is so inclined: Is there anything special about this moment, day, trip, or place beyond what you've shared on Flickr that you'd like to add or comment on here? Along with other vivaca visitors, I would love to know more!

  1. I'm hoping the photog will be on later to answer that question. It's a coworker's image, and I've already forgotten the details of where this is, exactly, in Rome.

  2. The shot was taken on the west side of the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome, a bit south of the Piazza del Popolo.

It's a building that is almost universally reviled in Rome, designed by American Architect Richard Meier. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/25/arts/design/25paci.html?_r=1

It's a rather modern building and an odd sight among the ruins, Grand Palazzos, domes, and 18th century flourishes that surround it, but it provided some cool lines as we walked up to the Villa Borghese on a bright May morning.

  3. Mille grazie! I'd almost - erroneously - posted that it was outside the Maxxi Museum, designed by Zaha Hadid.
